Free European universities

(Macedonian: Европски универзитет-Република Македонија, Evropski univerzitet-Republika Makedonija) is a university in Skopje, Macedonia.

History of The European University –Republic of Macedonia begins with the foundation of The Faculty of Social Sciences in 2001. The activities at The European University were recognized on when it was accredited by The Accreditation Board of Republic of Macedonia. Based on that, The European University-Republic of Macedonia is the first and the only private accredited university in the region which offers a modern education and which permanently develops and awards the process of acquiring knowledge according to the modern world educational trends.

The following 2006 is impressive in founding and accreditation (November 2006) of three new faculties: Faculty of Communication and Media, Faculty of Public Administration and The Faculty of Art and Design. Until then there were two faculties-The Faculty of Economic Sciences and The Faculty of Informatics which satisfied the growing needs for modern education in The Republic of Macedonia and the region.

Besides that, the same year based on the decision number 12 of The Accreditation of Republic of Macedonia, the adequacy of the programs of The European University according to the European standards of the 3+2 module of studying was confirmed. In the beginning of 2009 The European University - Republic of Macedonia made an elaborate for application of the solutions and the provisions of the new act for high education. Accreditations Domestic accreditation

The Republic of Macedonia's Board of Accreditation passed the decision for the accreditation of the European University – Republic of Macedonia on . The University marks out its path of private higher education in our country and successfully faces all challenges and obstacles that are generated from its pioneer mission. The European University – Republic of Macedonia is the first accredited private university in the country that emerged from the Faculty of Social Sciences. Having obtained accreditation from the Board of Accreditation on 1 June 2005, the European University – Republic of Macedonia is the first accredited university in the region that offers modern education and is continuously improving and upgrading the learning process by keeping up with the modern world trends in education.

Foreign accreditation

The European University – Republic of Macedonia is the sole higher education institution on the Balkans whose undergraduate and postgraduate study programs of the Faculty of Economy has been accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). IACBE is a specialized body for accreditation of business and study programs, connected to business of undergraduate and postgraduate studies in colleges and universities. IACBE has over 200 member universities. Their accreditation means that the degrees obtained from the EURM are acknowledged by the colleges in the USA and the other members of IACBE.
